ABOUT THE COMMUNITY PSYCHOLOGIST'S WEB JOURNAL
As a new orientation to individual psychology, community psychology and transpersonal psychology, the Community Psychologist's Web Journal is being developed in the belief that there are many researchers and authors in pursuit of the subject areas related to wellness who believe that science can not adequately address the issues of planning for a well or healthy society without confirming religion. You are visitor
to this page of the Community Psychologist's Web Journal since January 22, 1999.

The Community Psychologist's Web Journal has developed as an independent vehicle for the study and open communication of alternative states of consciousness, transpersonal concepts and experiences, as well as, the study of religious mystical techniques and practices as they relate to wellness and the well or healthy individual's effect on the community in terms of a guantum effect to improve measurable quality of life indexes such as improved health (e.g., decreased hospital emergency rates), harmony (e.g., decreased accident and decreased crime rates) and longevity (i.e., lengthening of the lifespan). It accepts as its province the full range of human development (i.e., from those defined by their severe disabilities, recognizing that the majority still remain affected by symptoms defining the average person in terms of the psychopathology of the norm, through to the other end of the bell curve where healthy people are defined in term of their wellness and potential for longevity) for the study of those elements of wellness that are personal as well as transpersonal, reaching through, across, and beyond the individual human personality to also explore the well or healthy individual's interdependence with the community psyche as measured by quality of live indexes and quantum physics formulas.
We believe that the most popular forms for publication of scientific investigation fail to offer a sufficiently comprehensive presentation on the subject matters under study. We, therefore, begin with the belief that religious theorems present a foundation for the scientific investigation of the individual's psyche [SEE FOOTNOTE #1] and, that in order to properly assess the psychological state of any individual suffering from severe disabilities and symptoms related to the psychopathology of the norm, an assessment of that individual's medical conditions, including nutrition and food sensitivities, genetic predisposition, neurotransmitter imbalances and environmental factors must be accounted for. Finally, we encourage the use of religious theorems to present a foundation for the scientific investigation of the effect of the state of the well or healthy individual psyche as it relates to the community psyche and recommend the use of formulas from quantum physics to support the theorem presented.
Many of you may say, "what an order! I don't have the qualifications, knowledge or resources to address research from all of these perspectives." However, do not be discouraged, no author or researcher will be expected to meet all of these conditions. The point is, the Community Psychologist's Web Journal is offered as a new forum where researchers may present their efforts to standardize research methods in a more meaningful way than that of popular scientific investigation, to define possible inadequacies in their own research and present suggestions that may help others to establish a more meaningful standard of research methods. We, therefore, hope that you, the author and reader alike, will find this type of service a welcome outlet to confirm one's faith to the world as we proceed in our spirit-filled journey and scientific investigation in pursuit of a more comprehensive understanding of the personal and transpersonal perspectives on the subject matters under study.
Since its founding, including yourself, the Community Psychologist's Web Journal has had many visitors to this home page. If you are pursuing a knowledge base that is concerned with both objective and subjective modes of investigation, the integration of psychological and spiritual experience, as well as the transcendence of a personal psyche and an understanding of the fullness of human awareness, we expect that this forum, with its presentation of contemporary educational, scientific, and clinical methodologies, contrasted with personal, social, and spiritual understandings.

The Community Psychologist's Web Journal was first announced and defined with its publication on the World-Wide-Web at angelfire.com/ny2/communitypsyc1, in January of 1999. The inspiration for this new Web Journal is derived from personal experience with Rev. Emil, Br. Gerald Williams, Dr. Paul Search, Ph.D., Dr. William Rockwood, Ph.D., Julio A. Martinez and Rev. Peter G. Young. The intended directions of this new web journal are guided by the original works of psychoanalyst Zygmund Freud (and the research on his methods indicating that his work stems from the Jewish mystical tradition), psychoanalysts Carl Jung and psychologist Abraham H. Maslow (both of whom more openly related their theories of wellness to religious mystical traditions), and an experiential knowledge that the experiences termed as "catharsis" and "religious mystical experience" are one in the same, as well as many many other researchers and authors from the fields of genetics through quantum physics. We, therefore, believe you will find that it is amongst its missions for this new web journal to encourage cooperation among disciplines for an open-ended inquiry, based upon experiential and empirical validation of research in theory and application, as well as a forum for the dissemination of these scientific findings on the World-Wide-Web.

An ABOUT THE AUTHORS section to summarize biographical information provided by Community Psychologist's Web Journal authors.
An ORIGINAL ARTICLES section will appear in each issue, written by well-informed authors representing a variety of viewpoints. This section is designed to address a broad range of transpersonal experiences, problems, activities, and research areas.
ABSTRACTS provided for articles published in the Community Psychologist's Web Journal will contribute to the permanent psychological literature: because of its orientation as a forum where research may standardized in a more meaningful way than that of popular scientific investigation, the Community Psychologist's Web Journal may well become the most substantial and authoritative periodical in the field.
The Community Psychologist's Web Journal is currently working on the opportunity for articles to be abstracted or INDEXED in Psychological Abstracts, Chicorel Health Science Indexes, International Bibliography of Periodical Literature, International Bibliography of Book Reviews, Psychological Reader's Guide, Current Contents/Social & Behavioral Sciences and Social Sciences Citation Index.
A READERS BOOK REVIEW section will offer readers of the Community Psychologist's Web Journal an additional forum to convey their opinions and insights about significant recent titles in the field.
EDITORS BOOK REVIEW is a regular feature listing titles of special current interest to individual editors.
PROFESSIONAL APPLICATION ARTICLES on the action plan or relationship between key issues and the authors real live activities in application of these key issues and in advocacy to special needs groups where such activities or advocacies are to improve the society in which we live towards a state of wellness. Professional Application Articles should be grounded in research or some other form of documentation to validate the approach used. However, because of the nature of some governmental processes extensive documentation to support the action plan may be waved if the advocacy is part of a legislative process.
A FORUMS link is provided by the Community Psychologist's Web Journal and Delphi Forums© as a vehicle for immediate and open exchange of viewpoints on key issues and important articles related to subjects of concern that may be published here or in other journals, media reviews, and announcements of other events important to the study of subject areas addressed by this journal.
ARTICLES SUBMITTED FOR PUBLICATION will be published in the space provided by the Community Psychologist's Web Journal. In preparing articles for publication in the Community Psychologist's Web Journal, authors should adhere to the guidelines in the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (4th edition, 1994). Copies of this guideline may be found in most university libraries or are available through the Order Dept. of the APA, PO Box 2710, Hyattsville, MD 20784-0710. All articles must be preceded by an abstract of 100-150 words. Manuscripts should be double-spaced, including the abstract, references, and any blocked quotes. All art must be professionally prepared, with clean, crisp lines, and be camera-ready; freehand or typewritten lettering will not be accepted. PC-generated screens (i.e., dot patterns) do not reproduce well during the printing process and should not be used to create shading in figures. If photos are used, they should be clear, and show good contrast. Each figure and photo must be properly identified. See our Submission Guidelines page for more information
Authors may also publish their works in any other forum they see fit. In the event that an article is accepted for publication, but the author prefers that its content be or remain published in the author's own domain, the editors of Community Psychologist's Web Journal shall indicate the nature of the submission, provide access to that publication through a link, and that article will be published in the Annual Edition.
ARTICLES PUBLISHED IN THIS DOMAIN of the Community Psychologist's Web Journal shall also be published in an Annual Edition, as a hard copy published annually consisting of a collection of accepted submissions, including abstracts, original articles and biographical information provided by authors, and books in review and books our editors are reading sections. The Annual Edition of the Community Psychologist's Web Journal will be available on January 1, 2000. To order your subscription, please see The Journal Order Form
REFERENCED WEB LINKS or WEB RINGS are also provided as a service of the on-line version of the Community Psychologist's Web Journal. This is intended to provide the world-wide-web reader a quick and easy access to similar types of literature related to the subjects of wellness, longevity, and spiritual and religious practices as they relate to the indivinual's state of wellness and interdependence with the community psyche's longevity potential as measured by quantum physics formulas, however these links will not be offered nor referenced in the Annual Edition.
FEATURED IN THIS EDITION
FOOTNOTE #1: Here, the term "psyche" and "soul" are used synonymously or interchangeably, in accordance with psychoanalytic theory and old testament writings prior to the Book of Wisdom. Neither of these terms, however, are used in relation to the popular concept of an immortal soul, which appears to us to be derived from Gnostic mythology, other ancient religions, or ancient Greek philosophy, primarily because the concept of an immortal soul does not appear to exist in old testament writings prior to the Book of Wisdom when the authors of this book came in contact with the ancient Greek culture.
